Hotel Review: A Weekend at The Ridgeline Resort & Spa

Arriving at The Ridgeline Resort & Spa after a winding drive up from Barlowganj, the first impression is the view — the Doon Valley falls away on one side, framed by deodar trees. Rooms lean into local materials: stone walls, wood-panelled ceilings, and balconies large enough for a proper morning coffee. The infinity pool is the property's clear highlight, seemingly merging with the valley beyond. Food at the terraced restaurant favours Kumaoni and pan-Indian dishes, with breakfast spreads strong enough to skip lunch. Service throughout was attentive without being intrusive — enquiries were answered same-day, and a private car was arranged for a Kempty Falls trip with no fuss. For a couple's weekend or small family break, it's one of the more complete stays we've reviewed in the region.
